Marine and Matthieu’s Portugal Destination Wedding at La Quinta da Pacheca

When it comes to wedding venues in Portugal, there’s just something about La Quinta da Pacheca. This beautiful vineyard factory is nestled in Douro Valley, just an hour and a half from Porto, and it exudes European romance. The venue is reason enough as to why you should get married in Portugal!

When Marine and Matthieu reached out to have me photograph their wedding, I could not have been more excited! La Quinta da Pacheca was stunning to photograph because of the property’s natural lighting and beauty, which transcribes perfectly through each photograph I captured on their wedding day.

With a space this beautiful, I knew I had to make the most of capturing every little detail of Marine and Matthieu’s wedding, from their romantic invitation suite to their intimate getting ready moments. You can just see the excitement and the immense amount of love they have for each other just through their smiles alone while they prepared to say their vows! 

These lovebirds were both dressed to the nines for their Portugal wedding. Marine wore a classic vintage wedding dress with delicate long lace-trimmed sleeves made by Caroline Takvorian, while Matthieu sported a stylish forest green tux by L'Apieceur Paris along with a floral bow tie that Marine had made specially for him. They were both glowing and had the perfect style for this beautiful Porto wedding celebration! 

Their outdoor wedding began with the sweetest ceremony with breathtaking views of Douro Valley as their backdrop. The two said their vows under an arch decorated in white linen and simple florals, all while surrounded by friends and family who traveled from all over the globe to celebrate Marine and Matthieu. During the ceremony, the brother of the bride read a poem about love and marriage written by their late grandfather. The nuptials were filled with love, joy and emotion from beginning to end. 

After the ceremony concluded, guests were invited to a romantic evening on the patio of La Quinta da Pacheca. Under the Portugal night sky was a reception filled with a beautiful table design adorned with loose floral arrangements and delicious cuisine. Marine and Matthieu chose to pair a romantic color palette like blushes, greens and whites with modern elements like pampas grass and gold-rimmed plates to bring their wedding to life. The newlyweds danced the night away surrounded by their nearest and dearest. It truly was a night to remember!
